The incident, near Allen Avenue and Queensbury Road at 3:34 p.m., drew a crowd of 20 to 30 young people, according to Lieutenant Tim Bundy of the Pasadena Police Department.
Responding officers used cellphone video footage to identify and detain the suspects. Initially two young men were detained. Both unarmed, Bundy said.
A young woman identified from the video footage was located and found in possession of a .40 caliber ghost gun. Although the gun’s magazine was loaded, the weapon had no bullet in the chamber, Bundy said.
The suspects were charged with conspiracy to commit assault with a deadly weapon among other weapons charges.
The adult among them is Jezel Olivas, an 18-year-old from Azusa, Bundy said. The other suspects include a 17-year-old boy and a 17-year-old girl, both also from Azusa.
