PUSD Candidate Lisa Kroese Announces Endorsement by PCC Trustee Tammy Silver

Lisa Kroese, a candidate for the Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) Board in District 6, announced that she has received the endorsement of Tammy Silver, a Pasadena City College trustee, according to a statement released by the Kroese campaign.

The campaign stated that Silver, who engages in statewide diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives and serves on multiple education-focused committees, was recently named Leader of the Year by the Los Angeles County School Trustees Association (LACSTA).

“I endorse Lisa for PUSD School Board because I know she will advance student outcomes and will work to ensure their academic and personal growth and success,” Silver said, as quoted in the campaign’s statement. “Lisa is dedicated to educational excellence, and her deep commitment to our community makes her the right candidate to lead our schools toward a brilliant future.”

Kroese, a real estate agent and mother of three daughters attending PUSD schools, has a background in public service and small business development, according to her campaign.

The Kroese campaign said she previously worked as a fine art appraiser and liquidation expert on the East Coast, and after volunteering for U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand on her first congressional campaign, Kroese was hired as Regional Representative and promoted to District Director for New York’s 20th Congressional District.

Kroese’s campaign emphasized her commitment to nurturing the emotional, physical, and educational needs of every child while providing a stable and safe environment within PUSD.

“Running a School Board race is challenging and I am counting on your support, too,” Kroese said, according to the campaign statement. “Our incredible students and schools need new leaders with a clear vision.”

The campaign noted that Kroese’s diverse experience includes coordinating charity auctions, writing award-winning grants, and authoring best-selling books on estate liquidation. She is also a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Chair of the Board for the National Estate Sales Association, the statement said.
