Rainy Halloween Weekend Ahead for Pasadena Before Sunshine Returns Next Week

Published on Friday, October 30, 2026 | 4:41 am

Pasadena residents can expect a cool, cloudy and increasingly wet Halloween weekend, with the heaviest rainfall forecast from Saturday night into Sunday morning before warmer and drier weather returns early next week, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters said rain chances will continue through much of the weekend, with the main portion of the storm expected to move across the area Saturday evening through Sunday morning. Conditions are expected to improve by Sunday afternoon, followed by sunny skies and a warming trend next week.

Friday will remain cloudy with a 40% chance of rain and a high temperature near 71 degrees. Light winds will become southerly around 5 mph during the afternoon. Rainfall amounts are expected to remain light, with less than one-tenth of an inch possible.

Rain chances increase Friday night, when Pasadena faces a 50% chance of showers, mainly before 11:00 p.m. Overnight temperatures are expected to fall to about 55 degrees.

Saturday will stay cloudy with a high near 70 degrees. The chance of rain rises to 40% after 11:00 a.m., although precipitation is expected to remain light through much of the day.

The wettest period is forecast to arrive Saturday night. The National Weather Service predicts a 90% chance of rain, with rainfall totals between one-quarter and one-half inch possible. Forecasters said the peak of the storm is expected between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

Rain is likely to continue Sunday morning before tapering off. Pasadena will see a 60% chance of rain before 11:00 a.m., followed by partial clearing during the afternoon. Sunday’s high is expected to reach about 68 degrees.

The storm system will keep temperatures below normal through the weekend, but a warming trend is expected to develop early next week. Monday is forecast to be sunny with a high near 74 degrees, while Tuesday will be sunny with temperatures reaching about 75 degrees.

Forecasters expect mostly sunny skies Wednesday and Thursday, with daytime highs near 71 degrees. While weather models indicate some uncertainty in conditions later next week, the National Weather Service said additional rainfall appears unlikely.

The weekend rain could create slick roads and reduced visibility at times, particularly Saturday night and Sunday morning. Residents planning outdoor activities should prepare for wet conditions and monitor updated forecasts as the storm approaches.
