A residential burglary occurred Sunday afternoon with the homeowners returning to find valuable items missing, according to police.
Lieutenant Monica Cuellar of the Pasadena Police Department said that officers responded to a burglary call at approximately 5:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, in the 1100 block of Rose Avenue.
According to Cuellar, the victims, a 46-year-old woman and a 59-year-old man, had secured their home before leaving at around 1:30 p.m. Upon returning at approximately 5:15 p.m., they discovered their residence had been burglarized.
The stolen items included U.S. currency, high-end designer bags, jewelry, and other miscellaneous belongings, Cuellar said. The total monetary value of the stolen items was not disclosed.
The case is currently being investigated by the burglary detectives division, according to Cuellar.
