The Rose Bowl stadium was being used as an operations center for local, regional, and national emergency agencies during the original scheduled date.
The McCourt Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to curing neurological diseases, added a special “Pasadena Fire Relief Entry” registration option for the 5K race. This $165.50 entry includes a $100 donation directed to the Pasadena Community Foundation’s Eaton Fire Relief & Recovery Efforts Fund.
The event also offers a Kids Run for children ages 3-8, starting at approximately 10:45 a.m. in waves by age.
The Half Marathon and 5K Run/Walk will both start at 7:00 a.m. at the Rose Bowl Stadium.
The half marathon course is described as challenging but rewarding. Starting in the shadows of the Rose Bowl, the route winds through historic residential neighborhoods and ventures across Old Pasadena before returning to the stadium. Participants will experience breathtaking views of the Rose Bowl from the iconic Colorado Street Bridge before descending toward the final 5 kilometers, which loop through Brookside Golf Course. Both the Half Marathon and the 5K finish on the field of the Rose Bowl Stadium.
All registered participants will receive an official participant bib, ASICS technical shirt, finisher medal upon crossing the finish line, and access to the Finish Festival.
Those selecting the Fire Relief Entry gain additional benefits including free race morning bib pickup.
Traffic in West Pasadena and Old Pasadena will be affected all morning on Sunday.
