Lucky callers to the Pasadena Visitor’s Hotline received an unexpected surprise from the Tournament of Roses Royal Court on Wednesday when Visit Pasadena opened its Visitor Hotline—(877) 793-9911—for the 39th year, with the help of longtime community volunteers.
Rose Queen Bella Ballard along with her court — Princesses Michelle Cortez-Peralta, Uma Wittenberg, Adrian Crick, Salia Baligh, Zoë Denoncourt, and Sahanna Rajinikanthan— all took turns answering dozens of phone calls which poured into the hotline upon its opening.
Along with the help of the Tournament of Roses Royal Court, Pasadena Vice Mayor Felicia Williams, Councilmember Tyron Hampton, Tournament of Roses President Amy Wainscott, and Visit Pasadena Executive Director Kristin McGrath were also on hand.
“Pasadena is thrilled to welcome over 700,000 visitors to celebrate the arrival of 2023 with the 134th Rose Parade and the 109th Rose Bowl Game,” said Visit Pasadena Executive Director Kristin McGrath.
“Our hotline is an integral part of the visitor experience to Pasadena. There are online resources that provide information regarding road closures and parking details, including our website, but the Visit Pasadena visitor hotline still gives that element of human connection for those that need it.”
Visit Pasadena’s official guide to the Tournament of Roses can be found here.
The Hotline is available through Sunday, January 1, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, closing at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 31, and Sunday, January 1.
