Selena Gomez, the 31-year-old “Back to You” singer, made a surprise appearance during a Coldplay concert at the Rose Bowl on Sunday. She joined Chris Martin, the lead vocalist of the British band, on stage to perform their 2021 collaboration, “Let Somebody Go.”
The crowd erupted in cheers as Gomez walked out on stage to join Martin, who was visibly delighted by her presence, according to a report in People magazine. The duo delivered an emotional performance of the heartfelt song, which was also joined by singer H.E.R.
The concert on Sunday was the second Coldplay concert in the Rose Bowl of the weekend. Both saw sell-out crowds as the British group staged its Music of the Spheres concert.
Gomez took to her Instagram Story to share moments from the performance and express her gratitude. “Thank you @coldplay @hermusicofficial for an amazing night,” she wrote.

Gomez has been working on the third season of the Hulu comedy series Only Murders In the Building, which premiered earlier in September 2023
