Retired NASA Space Shuttle Endeavour is scheduled to fly low over the Jet Propulsion Laboratories on its way to LAX this Friday, September 21, 2012 to cap off its final cross-country farewell voyage.
Space Shuttle Endeavour is the 5th NASA space shuttle. Space Shuttle Endeavour was used to replace Space Shuttle Challenger, and was actually named after the ship HMS Endeavour.
The recently retired shuttle first took flight in 1992, and has since flown almost 123 million miles in a span of 25 missions.
JPL has announced that it will not be open to the public for the fly-over, which is estimated to occur between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
