A 37-year-old Sacramento man was arrested Thursday morning after attempting to rob a Wells Fargo branch in the 100 block of South Lake Avenue, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Matt Campeau.
Officers responded to the bank shortly after the suspect, identified as Christopher Brown, entered the building, approached a teller, and declared a robbery while demanding cash, Campeau said i
The teller, a 23-year-old man from South Pasadena, activated the silent alarm and alerted the bank manager before any money was handed over.
Brown fled from the bank before officers arrived, but police canvassed the surrounding area and located him within a few blocks,Campeau said. He was detained without incident and positively identified during a field show-up.
There was no loss reported Campeau confirmed, noting that no weapons were involved in the incident. Brown was booked on robbery charges and remains in custody.
