Star-Studded Grand Finale Announced for 2025 Rose Parade

On Wednesday the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and Mansion Entertainment Group unveiled the lineup for the Grand Finale of the 136th Rose Parade on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. This celebration will feature a captivating by multi-platinum pop icon Debbie Gibson; singer-songwriter Betty Who, known for her inspiring and uplifting anthems; and the students and alumni of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy, who will bring the streets to life with a vibrant dance performance around the float.

Adding to the excitement, the legendary Debbie Allen will ride the float in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy.

These extraordinary artists will bring the Parade theme, “Best Day Ever!” to life in a joyful, inspiring tribute to music, artistry and community.

Debbie Gibson, a powerhouse of pop music and entertainment, first captivated audiences with her Billboard Hot 100 chart-topper “Foolish Beat,” marking her as the youngest female artist to write, produce and perform a number one hit—a record she still holds today. With more than 16 million albums sold, hit singles spanning decades, and a celebrated theatrical career, Gibson continues to be an inspiring force in the entertainment industry. Her music, energy and commitment to creating unforgettable performances perfectly embody the spirit of the Rose Parade. Gibson’s forthcoming motivational memoir will be released through Gallery Books.

Debbie Allen is an internationally recognized director, producer, choreographer, author, dancer and actor. She is synonymous with dynamic energy, creative talent and innovation, and continues to be one of the most respected, relevant and versatile talents in the entertainment industry. For her vast body of work, Ms. Allen has earned six Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe, five NAACP Image Awards, a Drama Desk, an Astaire Award (for Best Dancer) and the Olivier Award. She received Tony nominations for West Side Story, is a Kennedy Center Honoree and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Ms. Allen will ride on the Mansion Entertainment Group float, proudly cheering on the talented members and alumni of the Debbie Allen Dance Academy as they celebrate 25 years of artistic excellence, making dance more accessible for young people.

The Debbie Allen Dance Academy (DADA) is celebrating their 25th anniversary defining what it means to use the arts to uplift, inspire, and transform lives through the power of dance, theater and performance. With a focus on disenfranchised Black and Latino communities, and founded by the legendary Debbie Allen, DADA is built on the belief that arts education fosters discipline, creativity, and self-confidence, empowering students whether they pursue a professional performing arts career or attend prestigious universities – DADA instills principles for life.

Betty Who, born Jessica Newham in Sydney, Australia, is a classically trained singer, dancer and multi-instrumentalist who has become a pop trailblazer and LGBTQ+ icon. Known for viral hits like “Somebody Loves You” and her Queer Eye anthem “All Things,” she has forged deep ties with organizations like GLAAD and the Trevor Project. With her fourth studio album, Big, Betty reclaims her power as an independent artist, exploring themes of self-love, resilience, and friendship in her most open-hearted and personal work yet. In 2023, Betty made her Broadway debut as Persephone in the Tony Award winning show Hadestown.
