Student Scholarship Fundraiser Banquet Announced

The Scholarship Committee of the New Revelation Missionary Baptist Church in Pasadena is holding a Banquet and Silent Auction on Saturday, April 22, to raise funds for the church’s scholarship program for 2017.

The Scholarship Banquet called “Investing in Our Youth, Building Our Dreams” will be held at the New Revelation MBC Multi-Purpose Room, located at 855 N. Orange Grove Blvd. in Pasadena, starting at 5 p.m.

For several decades, New Revelation MBC has granted the scholarships to qualified students in the community, providing them with funds for tuition, books and other incidental requirements in their education.

The banquet will also include a Silent Auction, live entertainment, and door prizes. Pasadena Unified School District Superintendent Brian McDonald will be the Keynote Speaker.

Dr. Sandra E. Thomas, CEO/Dean of Scholars of the Quality of Life Center, Pasadena City Councilmembers Tyron Hampton, District 1 and John J. Kennedy, District 3 serve as Honorary Chairs of the Scholarship Committee.

Tickets for the event are $125 per person, with an early-bird special at $100 from now through April 2.
