The Pasadena Educational Foundation’s seventh-annual Summer Enrichment Program is open to all students in the Pasadena area. Two complete programs for students in kindergarten through 8th-grade take place July 6 to Aug. 5. Classes for high school students take place June 30 – Aug. 4. The wide range of enrichment opportunities will stretch from math, science, and writing, to art, gardening and fitness. All classes are taught by credentialed teachers.
PEF’s K-8 Summer Enrichment Program:
Held July 6 to Aug. 5, 2010, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Hamilton Elementary School (K – 6 Grades) 2089 Rose Villa St., Pasadena; Norma Coombs Alternative School (K – 8 Grades) 2600 Paloma St., Pasadena.
The program will offer a mix of academic subjects with hands-on exploration is an excellent way for students to prepare for the upcoming school year. Students in grades 2-8 attend three classes each morning; kindergarten and 1st graders remain in one self-contained class.
Tuition for the program is $425 for first enrollment; $400 per each sibling. PUSD students receive $75 discount per student.
PEF’s 2010 High School Summer Enrichment Program:
Held June 30 through Aug. 4 at Blair High School 1135 S. Euclid Ave., Pasadena CA 91106.
Classes include Computer Programming, Preparing for the SAT, Driver’s Education, AP Algebra Prep, AP Calculus Prep, Geometry, Drama, Public Speaking, Art, and more. The program is open to all area students.
