
Police are searching for a suspect involved in an early Thursday morning road rage incident in which a handgun was brandished at two commuters, according to Lieutenant Matt Campeau of the Pasadena Police Department.
Officers responded at 5:14 a.m. on April 17 to the intersection of Foothill Boulevard and Rosemead Boulevard after reports of a traffic dispute escalating into a threat with a firearm.
Upon arrival, police interviewed two victims, a 26-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman, both from Temple City.
The victims reported that the altercation began after another driver cut off their vehicle.
Following a verbal exchange, the suspect pursued them into a nearby parking lot, continued shouting, and pointed a black handgun at them before driving away, Campeau said.
The suspect, described as an Black man aged 20 to 25, was last seen heading west on Foothill Boulevard in a white sedan. No injuries or shots fired were reported during the incident.
An independent witness corroborated the victims’ account, seeing the suspect point a firearm at their vehicle.
While officers searched the area for video surveillance footage, they were unable to locate any that captured the altercation. The suspect vehicle remains unidentified.
