Temperatures Climb for Sunny and Pleasant President’s Day Holiday Weekend

Pasadena residents can expect all three days of the President’s Day holiday weekend to be sunny and pleasant as weather experts predict a weak offshore flow will continue from Saturday through Monday, bringing in warmer days and cool nights. 

But a cooling trend is expected early next week, so make the most of the beautiful weather while it lasts.

The UV index is predicted to be moderate on Saturday, the National Weather Service said,  and humidity levels are expected to be around 53%, making it a comfortable day overall.

The weather experts predict that Sunday will see a drop in temperature by 1 to 3 degrees. 

Early next week, however, a cooling trend is expected, and although dry weather is expected to continue until at least Tuesday night, when a cold trough is expected to arrive and could bring some light rain. The rainfall amounts are expected to be on the light side, and maximum temperatures will fall 8 to 12 degrees.

Thursday will see a reinforcing shot of cold air, which is expected to continue into Friday. The best chance for widespread rain is predicted to occur on Friday into Saturday morning. This system has quite a bit of cold interior air, which means that half to an inch of rain might be the most likely outcome.

Washington’s Birthday: Sunny, with a high near 70. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the morning.

Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 47.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65.

Tuesday Night: A slight chance of rain after 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41.

Wednesday: A slight chance of rain. Mostly sunny, with a high near 56. Breezy.
