Temperatures Will Spike This Weekend, Next Week Cooler

A warming trend is expected to begin Friday, National Weather Service forecasters said, with hot weather expected Saturday through Monday.

Cooler weather is expected next week, dropping to near or slightly below normal by Tuesday.

Saturday and Sunday should be clear but temperatures will jump, almost reaching the century mark.

The crescendoing temperatures will fall daily until by Wednesday they are in the upper 80’s.

Here is the forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight: Clear, with a low around 60. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Saturday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 98. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 64. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Sunday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 99. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south southwest in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 64.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 95.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90.

Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 90.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89.
