Tetra Tech Appoints John M. Douglas to Board of Directors

Pasadena-headquartered high-end consulting and engineering services company Tetra Tech has appointed John M. Douglas to its Board of Directors. The appointment, effective September 30, adds over 40 years of global operations and leadership experience to the company’s Board.

Douglas will serve on the Compensation and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees. He most recently served as CEO of RPS Group Plc, a UK-listed consultancy, from 2017 to 2023, where he was also a member of the Board of Directors.

Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech Chairman and CEO, praised Douglas’s appointment, stating, “Tetra Tech is pleased to welcome Mr. Douglas, who brings extraordinary experience in leading global public companies by embracing innovation and harnessing the power of technology.”

Douglas’s extensive career includes serving as CEO of Coffey International Limited from 2011 to 2016 and Australian-listed Boral Australian Construction Materials from 2004 to 2010. He also held various leadership roles at Boral from 1995 to 2004 and worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group from 1991 to 1995.

Batrack added, “His unique experience allows him to provide strategic insight as we address global priorities in the water, environment, and sustainable infrastructure markets.”

The new Board member holds an MBA from London Business School and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Adelaide University. He has also attended advanced management programs at Harvard Business School and studied law at the University of Sydney.

Coinciding with Douglas’s appointment, Joanne M. Maguire will retire from the Board on September 30, 2024, which is the first day of Tetra Tech’s new fiscal year. Batrack expressed gratitude for Maguire’s service during a period of significant growth for the company.
