Tetra Tech, Inc., a large Pasadena-based consulting and engineering services provider said it has expanded its ‘digital water’ practice, which is the use of technological data-driven solutions to solve complex water management problems.
This expansion was made possible through the acquisition of The Integration Group of Americas (TIGA), a Houston, Texas-based company, Tetra Tech said in a statement Thursday.
“The addition of TIGA enables us to further expand our high-end digital consulting and platform solutions across water, environmental, and energy sectors,” Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech Chairman and CEO, said.
Through this acquisition, the Pasadena company will have access to industry-leading software engineers, digital automation integrators and advanced data analytics consultants, Tetra Tech added.
‘Digital water’ is defined as the use of smart technologies within traditional water supply systems.
“Tetra Tech delivers data-driven, innovative, and scalable solutions to address complex water management challenges,” according to Tetratech.
“Tetra Tech’s groundwater replenishment and reuse solutions in California and the diversification of supplies in drought-prone Central Texas has led to more reliable supplies for those communities.”
“Our green stormwater infrastructure design in Washington, DC, supports sustainable stormwater management through a first-of-its-kind credit trading program,” according to Tetratech.
The Pasadena company said they are engaged in real-time control work for municipalities that use their proprietary Tetra Tech Delta technologies to minimize sewer overflows and flooding risks.
John Miller, TIGA President, said TIGA will provide control system integration and digital transformation services to an expanded client base.
The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
