Water is more than just a source of fun and fitness for the patrons of the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center. It is also a lifeline, a therapy, and a passion.
To support its vision and values, the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center is hosting its 2nd Annual Benefit, a fundraising event that will celebrate the center’s achievements and honor its contributors.
The Rose Bowl Aquatics Center’s 2nd Annual Benefit will be held Sunday, May 19, 2024, at The Fig House, 6433 N Figueroa St. in Los Angeles. The event, which begins at 10:30 a.m., aims to raise funds to support the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center’s mission of promoting community well-being through water safety, aquatic programs, and competition.
The event will honor several special guests for their contributions to the community and the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center. Honorees include former Pasadena Mayor and founding Rose Bowl Aquatics Center Board Member, Bill Thompson, and Recreation & Community Services Superintendent, Darrell Walker.
The event will also recognize the recipients of the Spotlight in Excellence Rose Bowl Aquatics Center Student Athlete Awards.
The nonprofit center offers year-round aquatic and fitness programming to children, youth, families, and seniors. Located in Pasadena’s Brookside Park, just south of the famous Rose Bowl Stadium, the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center serves more than 400,000 patrons annually with a wide range of programs. These include lap swimming, swimming lessons, swim teams, masters swim team, recreational swimming, special needs and adaptive swimming programs, therapy and rehabilitation programs, diving lessons, and water polo teams.
