Initial interviews for candidates to the Tournament of Roses Association’s 2025 Rose Court begin on Sept. 7, marking the first step in selecting ambassadors for the 2025 Tournament of Roses in Pasadena. The Tournament began accepting applications online last Thursday.
The Association announced that interviews will take place at Tournament House on Saturday, Sept. 7, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 to 3 p.m., and Monday, Sept. 9, from 3 to 6 p.m.
This year’s selection process for the Rose Court, presented by Citizens Business Bank, includes an expanded geographic eligibility, now encompassing seven additional zip codes in Alhambra, Eagle Rock, El Sereno, and San Gabriel.
Officials are seeking a diverse group of young women to represent the Tournament of Roses, Pasadena, and the greater Los Angeles area in various community engagements and events.
“We are excited to continue the treasured legacy of the Rose Court,” a statement by the organizers said.
The organization emphasized that ideal candidates may possess various strengths, including public speaking skills, youth leadership experience, academic achievement, or community involvement.
Each selected Rose Court member will receive a $7,500 educational scholarship, reflecting the Tournament’s ongoing support for educational initiatives in the community.
The selection process will culminate with the Rose Court announcement on Sept. 30, followed by the 106th Rose Queen announcement, coronation, and presentation of the 2025 Rose Court on Oct. 29.
The Rose Queen and her court will ride in the 136th Rose Parade presented by Honda and attend the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals at the 111th Rose Bowl Game presented by Prudential on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025.
