A two-car collision early Saturday left a 41-year-old Whittier man in critical condition with fractured ribs and a brain bleed, according to police.
The crash occurred at the intersection of San Gabriel Boulevard and Del Mar Boulevard at approximately 12:20 a.m., Pasadena Police Lieutenant Andrea Perez reported.
Officers responding to the scene found the involved vehicles on the southwest corner of the intersection, with one of the drivers lying on the roadway, Perez said.
One vehicle ended up going partially through a fence and into a front yard of a home, according to RMG News.
Paramedics from the Pasadena Fire Department treated the injured man at the scene before transporting him to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition, according to Perez.
The other driver, a 38-year-old man from Pasadena, complained he was in pain, Perez said.
The Pasadena Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the cause of the crash, Perez said.
