We Get Letters: Why Hasn’t Rent Board Stepped Up With Registry of Vacant Apartments During Crisis?

One month after the fire, it has become painfully clear that the Pasadena Rental Housing Board and their newly created Rental Stabilization Department have not risen to the occasion.

[Thursday] night, I expect their board to push for the city council to freeze rents, eliminate contract law and other draconian steps that will make it harder for people to find housing in Pasadena.

With that said, we need your coverage demanding that the RHB and RSD actually do the job they are tasked with doing instead of agitating to destroy capitalism.  They have a rental registry that is supposed to contain details of every vacant rental apartment in the city but have failed to do anything with it.   We don’t know why.

My best,
