Strong Santa Ana winds are expected to whip across the Southland over the weekend, gusting at more than 50 miles per hour in the San Gabriel Mountains by early Saturday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
A wind advisory denoting 25-35-mph winds and 50-mph gusts will be in effect in the San Gabriel Mountains until 3 p.m. Saturday.
Pasadena is expected on Saturday to experience a high of 81 degrees, but by Sunday see a sharp drop, possibly making way for a cooling trend. Rain is expected by Tuesday.
