Wildlife Causes Power Outage in Pasadena, Affecting 3,000 Customers

A power outage in Pasadena, California on Sunday, July 30 affected approximately 3,000 customers. The outage started at 7:40 p.m. and ended at 8:24 p.m., according to a City official.

The cause of the outage was wildlife, according to the spokesperson.

Pasadena Water and Power (PWP) posted the locations of the affected areas on its online outage map. The power was “quickly restored,” according to the City.

PWP said that in the event of a power outage, affected residents are notified through automated calls. The City’s online outage map is available 24/7 at: https://pwp.cityofpasadena.net/outage-map/
