Woman Faces Sentencing in Robbery Spree That Included Pasadena 7-Eleven

A North Hollywood woman who admitted serving as the getaway driver in a string of armed robberies — including one at a Pasadena 7-Eleven — is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday in federal court in downtown Los Angeles, according to City News Service.

Abigail Luckey, 51, pleaded guilty in January to one count of interference with commerce by robbery and one count of attempted interference with commerce by robbery. Prosecutors said she participated in a two-week spree in early 2024 that targeted smoke shops, donut shops and convenience stores across Los Angeles and Orange counties.

In her plea agreement, Luckey admitted to a Feb. 4, 2024 robbery and an attempted robbery 10 days later, when she was arrested. She disputes involvement in 10 additional robberies, but federal prosecutors wrote in sentencing papers that cell phone location data placed her at all 12 crime scenes and that her car was photographed at eight of them.

Among the businesses hit was a Pasadena 7-Eleven — one of nine 7-Eleven stores robbed in the region, including locations in North Hollywood, Burbank, Torrance, Van Nuys, Long Beach and Glendale.

Prosecutors are seeking a five-year, three-month prison term, arguing that Luckey acted as the getaway driver for each robbery between Jan. 29 and Feb. 14, 2024. They also contend she obtained the gun used in the crimes, rented the hotel room that served as the crew’s base and married co-defendant Antonio Bland in the middle of the spree.

Bland, 36, also of North Hollywood, was sentenced in February to 16 years and seven months in federal prison and ordered to pay $17,829 in restitution to 14 victims. He pleaded guilty in November 2025 to one count of interference with commerce by robbery and one count of brandishing a firearm in a crime of violence.

According to court papers, Bland, Luckey and co-defendant Ronnie Tucker, 24, of Long Beach, robbed a dozen Southland businesses. Prosecutors said the crew threatened victims at gunpoint, including one robbery victim from Glendale who recalled a gun being pointed “directly at my face.”

The group operated out of a North Hollywood hotel room that prosecutors say Luckey rented using her deceased husband’s driver’s license and forged signature. They allege she stole the 9mm pistol used in the crimes from a Las Vegas resident who reported that Luckey, his ex-girlfriend, snatched the gun and ran from his apartment days before the robberies began.

The spree ended Feb. 14, 2024, when a Downey donut shop employee fired a handgun in self-defense, prompting Bland and Tucker to run out of the store. Law enforcement officers witnessed the attempted robbery, stopped the trio’s vehicle shortly afterward and recovered a firearm.

Tucker has also pleaded guilty and awaits sentencing.
