
A third storm system is expected to bring rain to Pasadena on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service, with cooler temperatures holding steady before conditions clear into the weekend.
Forecasters said Wednesday that showers will linger through the morning, but the bulk of the overnight storm has moved out of the region. Highs will reach near 55 degrees under partly sunny skies, with west-southwest winds of 10 to 15 mph and gusts up to 20 mph.
Rain is forecast to return late Wednesday night and continue through much of Thursday, with a 90 percent chance of precipitation during the day. Highs will remain cool, near 54 degrees, before skies begin to clear Thursday night. Winds will stay breezy, with gusts near 20 mph.
Rainfall totals in Pasadena could reach between a half and three-quarters of an inch Thursday, the weather service said..
Friday will be mostly sunny and dry, with highs near 57 degrees. Overnight lows will dip into the upper 30s, raising the possibility of frost in valley areas.
Saturday is expected to be the warmest and sunniest day of the week, with highs near 66 degrees. Sunday will bring further warming to around 69 degrees, though clouds will increase as another system approaches.
The National Weather Service said rain chances return Sunday night through Tuesday, with 30 to 40 percent probabilities across Southern California. Rainfall amounts appear light and uncertain, with highs reaching the low 70s Monday before cooling slightly Tuesday.
