The public is invited to attend as Pasadena’s Villa Parke Youth Soccer League (VPYSL) marks the start of its 2025 season with an inauguration parade showcasing approximately 70 teams of young athletes.
The Saturday, February 22 event, serving as the official kick-off to the VPYSL soccer season, highlights the City’s commitment to youth sports programming through its largest recreational league.
The parade, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., will take place on the Villa Parke turf field, located on the corner of Parke St. and Garfield Ave., adjacent to the Villa Parke Community Center at 363 East Villa St. Players ranging from ages 2-18 will march alongside their coaches and City officials. Festivities will be held after the parade, including on-site food for purchase.
Established in 1989, the VPYSL has grown to become the City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department’s most popular youth sports program, with capacity for more than one thousand athletes.
