The YWCA Glendale and Pasadena will celebrate nearly a century of community leadership at its 28th Annual Heart and Excellence Legacy Luncheon on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
The fundraising event, scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at La Cañada Flintridge Country Club, 5500 Godbey Dr, in La Cañada Flintridge, aims to connect 250 local leaders while supporting programs focused on eliminating racism and empowering women.
“A champion of ethical leadership and democracy, Natalie has expanded Coro’s impact while fostering a powerful network of changemakers,” the organization says in introducing the keynote speaker Natalie Samarjian, President and CEO of Coro Southern California.
This year’s luncheon will pay special tribute to past Board members who have guided the organization throughout its history.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with local philanthropists and community leaders while directly supporting essential programs.
Samarjian brings significant experience in advocacy for women and girls, having worked at the California Women’s Law Center and supported domestic violence survivors at Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County.
As a UCLA Law graduate and Coro Fellow, her background aligns with YWCA’s core mission of empowerment and equity.
Sponsorships for the event directly fund domestic violence support, youth empowerment, and racial justice initiatives.
The YWCA Glendale and Pasadena focuses on delivering direct social services and advocating for just and equitable public policies.
Its core advocacy issues include preventing gender-based violence, supporting survivors, ending policies that criminalize people of color, and ensuring women’s workplace participation.
