Pasadena Mayoral Candidate Major Williams on Friday said he has been endorsed by former Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich.

In a statement, Williams quoted Antonovich as saying “You have my full endorsement.”

Antonovich held great sway over a large swath of Los Angeles County for over 30 years in his Supervisorial position. He represented the Fifth District, which covers northern Los Angeles County, including the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita, Pasadena, and parts of the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys.

Williams, a local entrepreneur, is a newcomer to Pasadena politics.

In his statement, Williams also said he been endorsed by Larry Elder, Los Angeles GOP, the Legacy Republican Association, BlacPac, Gianno Caldwell, David Harris, Jr., Marc Little, Corrin Rankin, Mary-Ann Maulis, Michael and Jaye Curry, and the Republican National Assembly of California.

Williams faces incumbent Mayor Terry Tornek, City Councilmember Victor Gordo, and former city commissioner Jason Hardin in the mayor’s race.
