All Saints Church is gearing up for a significant milestone: its centennial celebration. The church announced plans on Facebook for a special homecoming event on Sunday, Sept. 15, to commemorate 100 years of mission and ministry.
The centerpiece of the celebration will be a festive Eucharist service at 10 a.m., followed by a celebratory reception on the lawn at 11:30 a.m. All Saints Church is inviting parishioners and community members to contribute to the decorations for this momentous occasion.
“As we commemorate 100 years of mission ministry and milestones in this sacred place, All Saints Church will decorate the altars and chancel with celebration and memorial flowers,” the church said on Facebook.
Contributions for altar flowers can be made in celebration or memory of loved ones. The names of those honored or remembered will be listed in a commemorative Liturgy booklet to be printed for the Homecoming on Sept. 15.
Those wishing to participate in this floral tribute have until Wednesday, September 4, to make their donations. The church has provided two methods for interested individuals to contribute: by calling (626) 796-1172 or through an online link at http://bit.ly/3N1rhl0.
Bishop John Taylor will be the guest preacher for the single service at 10 a.m. The reception following the service will include food, fellowship, and fun for everyone.
A suggested donation of $8 for lunch is requested, but the church emphasizes that no donation is too small or too large, and all are welcome. To assist with planning, attendees are encouraged to RSVP through https://bit.ly/4dzBS0a.
The centennial homecoming celebration represents a significant moment for All Saints Church, offering an opportunity to reflect on its century-long presence in the community. The event promises to be a blend of reverence for the past and hope for the future.
