Altadena Congregations Together Serving (ACTS) will host a Spring Gathering potluck on Sunday, May 4, creating an opportunity for community members to connect regardless of religious affiliation. The event aims to foster fellowship among Altadena and Pasadena residents through shared food and conversation, with organizers welcoming the public and saying that the gathering is not limited to church congregants.

“Let us celebrate & connect with each other in community & fellowship, sharing good food and great company!” reads the announcement for the gathering.

The vegetarian potluck is to take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Christ the Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 185 W. Altadena Drive, in Altadena.

Attendees are encouraged to “bring a vegetarian dish, or come and enjoy dishes shared by others,” according to the invitation.

Elsa Seifert, a member of Altadena Community Church, emphasized that the event is open to everyone.

As the event date approaches quickly, organizers are eager to spread the word to as many potential attendees as possible.

Although it is not required, organizers ask that interested participants “please RSVP to altadenacts@gmail.com to assist us in making sure we have enough to accommodate all of our guests.”
