“Audience members will be treated to selections of dance, drama, vocal and instrumental musical numbers featuring our students in grades K-8,” Principal Benita Scheckel said.
“There will be over 500 students involved!”
The event is free and open to the public. It will be held inside the Carl D. Roeder Auditorium at Eliot Arts, located at 2184 N. Lake Ave., starting at 9 a.m.Scheckel said the Holiday Show is sort of a celebration after two years that large public gatherings in campus had to be canceled because of the pandemic.
“It’s about COVID waning a little bit and us being able to enjoy having concerts and shows indoors again,” she said.
Masks are strongly encouraged for this indoor performance as well as other indoor events on campus. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance of the theatre.
For parking, the school’s playground will be open Thursday morning. People can then walk to the auditorium in the middle school campus, about a 10-minute walk away.
Some ADA parking will be available on Calaveras Street across from Aldi Food Market on the day of the show. Be sure to show your placard.
“Please do not park in Aldi’s lot.” a school advisory said. “You may be ticketed or towed.”
