Angela Hawekotte, current President-Elect of the Pasadena Rotary Club and co-Chair of the ‘Done in a Day’ Committee, will be speaking Wednesday during the Rotary Club’s weekly luncheon meeting.
Hawekotte will be speaking on the topic, “Angela in Wonderland: My Time as a Rotary Scholar in the UK.” She will address her experiences living as a Rotary Goodwill Ambassador in the United Kingdom, particularly her time attending the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, and also later as a speechwriter and researcher in the House of Commons in London.
Hawekotte received a BA in Political Science from Mount Saint Mary’s University, and a law degree from Loyola Law School, both in Los Angeles. After law school, she was a Rotary International Graduate Fellow and obtained a Diploma in International Law and Relations from the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth in the UK, specializing in the European Economic Community.
Hawekotte is both an attorney and CPA and practices estate planning, corporate and tax law in Pasadena. She is the present Vice President of the Pasadena Senior Center Board.
The Pasadena Rotary Club’s weekly meetings are currently in person at the University Club of Pasadena, and live on Zoom as well. Lunch begins at 12 p.m. and the meeting opens at 12:30 p.m.
