ArtNight Pasadena itself will explore a new medium tonight as the celebration of local arts and culture goes virtual from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct 23, with up to 18 of Pasadena’s art museums and cultural organizations presenting programming online.
ArtNight Pasadena is the city’s signature cultural event, produced by the Cultural Affairs Division in partnership with ArtNight partner organizations.
A dynamic arts and culture open house, ArtNight normally blossoms in March and October. During ordinary times, the city’s most prominent museums and cultural institutions open their doors for free entry and offer special programming for all ages.

Last fall, some 22 participating institutions, including Pasadena City Hall, Norton Simon Museum, The Gamble House, ArtCenter College of Design, and the Pasadena Museum of History welcomed art fans who moved around Pasadena on free shuttle buses.
In Old Pasadena, the Armory Center for the Arts featured an Open House Dance Party, with art-making activities for all ages, locally brewed craft beer, food trucks, and the Los Angeles deejay collective dublab providing dance music.
Gold Bug celebrated 12 years in the city with a reception for new work by artists Kelley Benes and Michael Campbell, and One Colorado exhibited Rogue Artists Ensemble with its World of Shadows Show.
This year’s Spring ArtNight was canceled in March due to concerns that the COVID-19 pandemic would reduce attendance drastically and limit the number of volunteers available to assist staff and the public at the different participating venues.
