Stitches SoCal, a shopping experience for knitters, crocheters, weavers, fiber artists, and other stitch crafters, will be happening at the Pasadena Convention Center starting Thursday, Nov. 10, although registration begins Wednesday afternoon.
Classes will cover everything from design to finishing, with options to simply watch free demos if you don’t intend to attend classes as of the moment. Thirty-one of the best instructors in the industry will lead the classes offering top-knotch education in everything about stitches.
Over 104 classes fill the event schedule from Thursday through Sunday, and include a variety of fiber arts: knitting, crochet, and weaving, as well as sewing, quilting, embroidery, spinning, carding, and dyeing, among other skills.
Vendors coming from across the United States will be onsite to display the latest wares and inspire your creativity. In the Stitches SoCal Market, you will find everything from yarn, fiber, and fabric, to notions and tools that will tempt every maker and make your creative dreams come true. The Market is open starting at 10 a.m. to serve your needs.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a medical exemption is required to attend any classes or special events. Masking is recommended but not required – unless requested by the teacher. If masking is required, it will be noted on the individual class. Currently, only classes with Amy Snell require masking.
Proof of vaccination will be verified at the registration desk before you pick up your Attendee badge, the organizers said. Proof can be a vaccination card or a digital copy showing proof of full COVID-19 vaccination obtained at least two weeks before the event. For those with a medical exemption, a doctor’s note and a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours of each day you attend are required.
