The world’s largest autism fundraising event unfolds at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Saturday, Nov. 16, bringing together individuals across the autism spectrum and their supporters.

Autism Speaks Walk, organized by Autism Speaks, Inc., a non-profit autism awareness organization, is the world’s largest autism fundraising event and is the group’s largest funding source to fuel innovative research, advocacy, and critical support programs.

The event, which begins at noon at the historic stadium, creates a supportive environment where autistic individuals can connect with family members, healthcare providers, and community members.

Participants can register for the event through the Rose Bowl’s website, joining thousands expected to attend this cornerstone fundraising and awareness gathering.

Autism Speaks, founded in 2005 by Bob and Suzanne Wright following their grandson Christian’s autism diagnosis, has evolved into America’s largest autism research organization.

The organization expanded through mergers with the Autism Coalition for Research and Education in 2005, the National Alliance for Autism Research in 2006, and Cure Autism Now in 2007.

Since its founding, Autism Speaks has achieved significant milestones in global awareness, advocacy for autistic individuals’ rights, and advancement of clinical knowledge in autism care.

The organization focuses on accelerating solutions and ensuring high-quality services from early diagnosis through adult transitions. Their mission encompasses creating a world where all people with autism “can reach their full potential” through advocacy, support services, research innovation, and care advancement.

The organization emphasizes addressing critical needs in transition, employment, housing, and health wellness, while pursuing scalable solutions and expanding educational access for the autism community.
