Slater’s 50/50 in Pasadena will be treating bacon lovers to a full-day Pork-a-Palooza on Thursday, Aug. 20, with a free order of Bacon Fat Popcorn with any food purchase, and $5 Bacon Bloody Marys and $5 Bacon Old-Fashioneds.
The popular Old Pasadena restaurant, located at the corner of Raymond Avenue and Union Street, is one of three Southern California locations where Pork-a-Palooza is happening Thursday.
The special offering features Slater’s 50/50’s Signature Bacon Flight, good for three to five diners, which includes bacon salt and vinegar chicharron, salted caramel bacon kettle corn, sweet and sour agave pork wings, crispy pork belly with jalapeño-bacon jam, and Slater’s Giardiniere.
To these, you can add a signature beer flight and choose from the beer menu that’s constantly rotating around over 1,000 different craft beers every year.
Slater’s 50/50 in Pasadena is currently open for take-out and delivery only.
The chain was founded in 2009 in Anaheim Hills by Scott Slater, a Southern California native with a passion for burgers, bacon, and craft beer.
Inspired by the belief that bacon is meat candy, Slater created the original 50/50 patty – made of 50 percent ground bacon and 50 percent ground beef – which now has evolved to include an array of “slaterized” items packed with award-winning burgers, loaded flatbreads, over-the-top salads, amped-up milkshakes, and some healthy options, too. These are standard fare at Slater’s 50/50, often called the “rebel gastropub,” and customers can also order them on Thursday.
