The Caltech Glee Club and Chamber Singers will present their fall concert on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the campus’s Ramo Auditorium, sponsored by Student Affairs as part of the institute’s Student Group Performances series.

The ensemble, which draws performers from across the greater Caltech community, includes students, postdoctoral researchers, alumni, faculty, staff, JPL employees and community members.

The program showcases the group’s versatility in performing diverse musical selections, ranging from Medieval chant to contemporary 21st century compositions, under Caltech’s Performing and Visual Arts (PVA) department.

The Glee Club holds a distinguished position in collegiate choral music, having co-founded the Pacific Southwest Intercollegiate Choral Association festival with two other institutions in 1922.

The organization continues its involvement today as one of 13 member universities in the association, reflecting its longstanding commitment to collegiate choral performance.

Caltech’s PVA faculty, committed to quality in performance and education, offer excellent opportunities for study and performance in music, theater, and visual arts.

The concert, scheduled from 8 to 9:30 p.m., represents one of two major performances the group presents annually.

The performance aligns with Caltech’s mission of educating outstanding students to become creative members of society, with academic credit available for participation.

The concert is free and open to the public.
