More than thirty members of Cancer Support Community Pasadena (CSCP) gathered at the Rose Bowl Saturday morning for an inaugural yoga workout fundraiser called “Workout and Mimosa.”

CSCP board member and organizer Dana Naples said, “After COVID, we haven’t been able to be together, and this is a good outdoor activity for people to do that. This is our first one and we hope to do an even larger one next year.”

The “boot camp” style workout was led by Saori Sage, a certified yoga instructor, who said that the event was her first in-person class since the beginning of the pandemic in March of 2020. Saga, whose uncle is a stage 4 cancer survivor,  added,  “I’m just so grateful for that and I just want to be part of this amazing community, and this is the least I could do.”

Following the yoga workout, participants then visited Naples’ home for lunch and mimosas. Funds raised at the event will be used to support the upcoming “Ladies’ Night Out” planned for September.
