Pasadena Heritage is offering a docent-guided walking tour of Ford Place and the Blinn House this Saturday, July 2, and on the first Saturday of every other month.
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Ford Place is a residential subdivision created in 1902. This small district of 10 houses includes a fascinating mix of Craftsman, Shingle, Prairie, Tudor Revival, and Mission Revival styles.
Currently, Ford Place is part of the Fuller Seminary Campus, around which a lot of new development is going on and several historic properties are being closely watched by Pasadena Heritage; these include the Scottish Rite Temple, the former First Congregational Church of Pasadena, and the Fuller campus.
The Blinn House, at 160 N. Oakland Ave., is Pasadena Heritage’s new home, and Pasadena Heritage welcomes you for an interior tour.
Group size will be limited. Tours start at the Blinn House, last approximately one hour, and cover less than a mile.
