Pasadena Walking Tours (PWT) leads a Haunted Pasadena Tour on Friday, Jan. 6, that takes you through the “castles and courtyards, mortuaries and theatres, darkened alleyways and shuttered shopping malls” that reveal the sordid side of the City of Roses.
“Meet the phantoms who haunt its alleys, underground tunnels, corridors, and back rooms. Unexplained mysteries and dirty dealings pepper Pasadena’s past,” Pasadena Walking Tours said in an announcement of the event.
Starting at 6:30 p.m. from the Performer Statue outside of the Stand at 36 S. El Molino Ave., Haunted Pasadena passes through Playhouse Village and Old Pasadena in this night-time wander.
Haunted Pasadena is a distance of 1.5 miles and will take about two hours. The tour will end at Castle Green, at 99 S. Raymond Ave.
The tour, as well as all in-person tours by Pasadena Walking Tours, require advanced ticket purchases. Tickets are $16 for children ages 5 to 12, and $28 for adults and kids 13 and above. Kids under 5 are free.
Haunted Pasadena repeats on Friday the 13th of January, and on Jan. 20.
