Even though the Storrier Stearns Japanese Garden is a perfect backdrop for cultural events, festivals and celebrations, Japanese gardens are designed primarily for quiet contemplation and introspection. Storrier Stearn's Japanese Garden's peaceful Sundays when there are no events planned, offer visitors respite from the hectic world and you will find the serenity that has characterized Japanese gardens for centuries. Picnics are welcome but please take the trash out with you. Stepping off the paths and into garden beds or onto boulders next to the ponds is strictly prohibited Please do not disrupt the peacefulness many visitors are seeking: no talking on the phone, music or loud celebrations.
