Farm Hall, a wartime thriller by British playwright and historian Katherine Moar, makes its U.S. debut with Topanga Actors Company on January 10 at Promenade Playhouse in West Los Angeles. The play explores a little-known World War II story: six German nuclear scientists, captured by Allied forces, are held at a British manor called Farm Hall and unknowingly recorded while discussing their efforts to develop an atomic bomb. Moar’s drama delves into their responses to news of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, revealing jealousies, private agendas, and the moral dilemmas of their work. The production, directed by Judith Hendra, features Edward Giron as Heisenberg and an ensemble cast portraying the captured scientists. Farm Hall premiered in London in 2023, later transferring to West End's Theatre Royal, Haymarket, in 2024. Running weekends through January 26, tickets are available at www.onstage411.com/farmhall.
