San Marino Junior Alliance invites the community to attend their benefit “Denim & Diamonds” at a private club in the San Gabriel Valley to support Casa Treatment Center. Guests are encouraged to grab their cowboy boots and diamond tiaras or whatever suits their fancy in combination of casual charm and touch of elegance, for a stompin’ good time. The evening will include a fabulous buffet, great music, dancing and a Silent and Live auction. Several of the many special auction items include an escape to a five night stay in a four bedroom mountain home in Eden, Utah, Jewelry from China Art & Jewelry, Passes to the Magic Castle, Fine Wine Gift Basket, Kate Spade Handbags, Concert tickets to see Chris Stapleton, George Strait, and Little Big Town, tickets to the Pasadena Distinguished Speakers Series, dinners at several popular local restaurants, entertainment options, and many one of a kind adventures. San Marino Junior Alliance was formed in 1942 and their relationship with Casa Treatment Center began in 1979. Casa provides hope, transformation and recovery to women of all ages, socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds who are suffering from alcohol abuse and addiction. Founded in 1967 and located in Pasadena, the twenty-four hour non-medical substance abuse treatment program encourages the physical, mental, and spiritual growth in the recovery process by providing the women with a safe, compassionate, and sober environment to help them reach the goal of becoming alcohol and drug free. Since 1993, SMJA has donated over $900,000 to Casa. Co-Presidents and Benefit Co-chairs, Helen Kim Spitzer from San Marino and Marlene Evans from Alhambra, have expertly orchestrated their committee members to create a magical evening for all guests and community members.
