The Pasadena Humane Society guides animal lovers through an introduction to a potential career in animal welfare on Friday, May 14, with a podcast-style Zoom webinar from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m.
This is a four-week course about working with animals where students will have an opportunity to speak with a K-9 officer with the Pasadena Police Department.
The K-9 Unit is made up of three specially trained officers and four dogs. Working within the Field Operations Division, Patrol and Community Services, they are responsible for SWAT integration and stress inoculation, as well as explosive, narcotic and apprehension detection.
