Arcadia Set to Sparkle with Patriotic Festival and Fireworks
Published on Jul 1, 2023

The Downtown Arcadia Improvement Association (DAIA) is spearheading a patriotic celebration for the local community on Saturday, July 1 from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 1st Avenue & Huntington Dr.

Titled “Arcadia Patriotic Festival and Fireworks 2023,” this community-oriented event promises a melange of food, live music, and free activities for children. The organizers urge attendees, “Come for the food, stay for the fireworks.”

The event features a mini walking parade starting at 5:30 p.m. from Huntington Dr. leading up to First Ave. Middle School. Stage performances from the Neighborhood Music School will provide entertainment from 5:45 to 8:30 p.m.

Renowned artist Roger Espinoza will grace the event with a special performance under the Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation (APAF) from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Concurrently, DJ John Villa will be at the First Ave. Middle School stage to keep the crowd energized.

In addition to the performances, a ‘Big Give Away’ is slated for 7 p.m. at the First Ave. Middle School Stage.

Participants are encouraged to register online at ArcadiaDT.com.

The evening culminates in a grand fireworks display at 9 p.m., rounding off a day of patriotic festivity.

The association invites the community to partake in the celebration, stating, “Don’t miss out on this community event that brings everyone together.”

First Ave., from Huntington Dr. to Diamond St., will be closed from 12 p.m. to accommodate the festival. Attendees are encouraged to plan their commute accordingly.
