Jazz music will fill the air at Playhouse Village Park this Sunday as the popular Jazz in the Park concert series continues its summer run.
Kira & the Major 3 will perform American and world standards July 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. on the Van Halen Stage at the park, located at 701 Union St. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Playhouse Village Association presents the concert series in partnership with the Playhouse Village Foundation. The free concerts take place every Sunday in June and July during the same evening hours.
Funding for the series comes partially from a grant from Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts and donations from the Playhouse Village Foundation generated through “A Night Out In Playhouse Village.”
Organizers encourage attendees to bring blankets or low chairs and pick up dinner from local restaurants to enjoy during the outdoor performance.
The concert series marks the return of the beloved community event, which the Playhouse Village Association describes as making Playhouse Village “sizzle this summer.”
