Side Street Projects, a mobile artist-run organization in Pasadena, is hosting a free screen printing workshop as part of its latest Repair Cafe event on Saturday, Oct. 5. The skillshare, led by artist-in-residence Ginko Lee, will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the organization’s headquarters at Canada Ave., Pasadena.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own T-shirts or totes for customization with repair-themed graphics and the Repair Cafe logo. For those without items to print on, a Free Market will be available on-site, offering T-shirts and totes on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event is open to all ages and skill levels, with no registration required. Supplies will be provided, but early arrival is recommended to secure materials.
Side Street Projects, supported by the Cultural Affairs Division of the City of Pasadena and the Arts and Culture Commission, aims to foster leadership through socially engaged art. The organization’s mission focuses on empowering artists of all ages to support their creative endeavors through a DIY (Do It Yourself) and DIT (Do It Together) ethos.
Side Street Projects is devoted to community-centered artists through programming that promotes creativity, well-being, and the potential for collective growth.
