Get Up Close and Personal With Pasadena’s Public Art Collection

Published on Oct 18, 2022

Day One, the Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition, and the Department of Transportation present “Public Art in Pasadena #2” on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 5 to 7 p.m., when you can explore Old Pasadena and the Playhouse Village – Pasadena’s oldest commercial districts – focusing on the artwork on display throughout the area.

Public Art in Pasadena #2 is part of Walktober 2022, an annual event to get people walking in Pasadena through guided in-person walks and self-guided walking tours using interactive online resources.

Walktober, now on its fifth year, guides you through Pasadena’s public art that’s located all over the city, tucked into nearly every nook, cranny, and alleyway. You’ll also see the murals, sculptures, statues, and architectural details that all reflect the city’s history, legends, culture, and inspirations.

On this tour, make sure to bring your cameras to take advantage of the Crown City’s most photogenic spots. The starting location will be sent to you after you register. The tour will end a few blocks from the Lake Station on the L (Gold) Line. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of the Metro.

The organizers are recommending that you wear comfortable walking shoes, sunblock, a hat, and bring water.
