The South Pasadena Tournament of Roses is holding a giant yard sale on Friday and Saturday, May 6 and 7, at the War Memorial Building to raise funds for its float entry in the 2023 Rose Parade.
The organizer said a wide variety of items will be up for grabs during this two-day event, the first Annual Yard Sale in the history of the South Pasadena Tournament of Roses. Items range from clothing to house wares, tools, furniture and many more.
Donations of goods are welcome; they can be dropped off at the War Memorial Building in the rear parking lot off Mound Ave. on Sunday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Monday, May 2, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and Tuesday, May 3, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Large appliances and mattresses will not be accepted. For larger items that require pick-up, contact Steve Fillingham at sftballsteve@aol.com. You may also want to volunteer at the event, so include that in your email.
Funds raised from the yard sale will help pay for steel, flowers and other materials needed for South Pasadena’s Rose Parade float, put together entirely by community volunteers.
