The Gamble House’s rear lawn will be the backdrop for communing with friendly, gentle goats while engaging in a fun, light-hearted yoga session taught by certified instructor Tina Lenert on Saturday, May 8, 10 to 11 a.m.
“Goat Yoga at the Gamble House” is the perfect opportunity to connect with your “inner kid” while moving through yoga postures suitable for all levels: from first timers who ”just came for the goats” to experienced yogis looking to challenge their practice.
Hello Critter is organizing the event along with similar Goat Yoga events throughout Los Angeles. Classes are led by certified instructors while Nigerian Dwarf goats roam the class. Participants inadvertently create playgrounds for these little goats to jump on, rebound off, trot under and crawl through various yoga postures held by class attendees. The goats’ playful antics and gentle manner open hearts, widen smiles and deepen stretches throughout each practice.
Along with Goat Yoga, Hello Critter goats serve as hiking companions, muses for creative writing workshops, models for life drawing classes, co-creators in Goat Improv workshops and Sound Bath Therapy Sessions. They travel well and can attend your next party, team building event, corporate event, fundraiser, photo shoot, or TV video or film production.
Your Goat Yoga session time includes one hour consisting of 15 minutes petting and pictures before and after class, 30 minute goat yoga class.
For participants who prefer not to have their yoga mats “autographed” by goats, The Gamble House rents out used and sanitized yoga mats for $5 each. Participants may also want to bring full size towels, which should work fine, too.
